Ab Rocker is one of the widely advertised equipment which claims to reduce abdominal fat and bring about a positive change in your looks.

Fragile parts

The equipment is too fragile after it is assembled making it difficult for people who are built well to use it to do workouts. This fragility creates imbalance while doing exercise which may lead to muscle tear or other muscle problems.

Takes more than claimed time

The manufacturers claim that doing a regular workout for 5 minutes is enough to bring about huge reduction in the fat present in your abdominal region which not true.

A normal workout has to consist of at least 50 reps, taking well over 20 minutes and slower for beginners.

No workout for the stabilizer muscles

The abdominal muscles are made up of more than one type of muscle and the proposed workout given by Ab Rocker does not give enough stress on the stabilizer muscles that also is responsible for accumulation of fat.

Spot reduction of fat is impossible

Ab Rocker or any equipment for that matter will not be successful in bringing about spot reduction of fat. Abdominal fat in particular, are the most stubborn fats and will reduce only after every other fat deposition is burned out.

So you have to couple other exercise that would bring an overall fat reduction would have better effect. To make this happen you have to join a gym and spend some extra amount of money apart from the one spent on Ab Rocker.

Suits only beginners

Ab Rocker provides exercise that is too basic and is suitable only to beginners. If you want better toning and the much sought after six packs you have to go for more advance equipments that would give advanced options to workout.

Too much stress on abdomen

If you keep doing crunches or sit ups over and over you would end up giving more stress to your abdominal muscles than is required. This leads to more blood flow to these muscles.

Such sudden increase in blood flow may make these muscles appear larger than before, giving exactly the opposite result of what is desired.

Not different from sit ups

The Ab Rocker gives workout that is not different from the traditional sit ups. To do exactly this you can just buy an exercise mat with some back rest and neck rest.

You can even perform other cardio exercise in a mat better than Ab Rocker.

Conclusion

Ab Rocker though may look quite low cost equipment; the result that is claimed to be obtained is not got. The proposed workout is too basic and is not effective in bringing about the desired change in your abdominal muscles.

The equipment is not enough if you target on a well toned and firm muscled frame.
